Description woman's weave; gold and black commercial yarn embroidered on beige cloth; stylized chameleon design in alternating stripes with tufts; six slits produced during weaving at each end; worn by male Ogboni Society men over the shoulder; or as Oja (baby wrapper) by Ogboni Society woman; worn only on "occasions", as Agema Festival; this is when Ogboni members retun to community after 7 days in bush, to be received by Ajali (chief) and gives gifts; while returning they may kill any animal or person who sees them (info from Johnson Aremu Opawala, April, 1968)
